Broncos See More Improvements Across Three Meets

Cal Poly Pomona split time across three different events this week, taking on tough NCAA Division I opponents and saw multiple Broncos better their previous personal bests.
 
At the Mt. SAC Relays, Ayana Fields finished the 200-meter dash in 23.84 seconds, just .01 seconds off her personal-best time.
 
Jade DeSouza finished just outside the top-10 with an 11th-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 12.26 meters. She moved into second place on the CPP all-time list by bettering her previous personal record by .20 meters.
 
Ana Tovi took on a heavy NCAA Division I field at the Mt. SAC Relays, finishing with a throw of 13.71 meters in the shot put and took 13th in the discus with a heave of 50.00 meters, just .54 meters off her personal and school record set in 2019. She just missed out on the finals in each event.
 
Imani Williams posted a mark of 5.91 meters in the long jump, improving by .03 meters on her previous best mark and moving up to 13th in the NCAA Division II.
 
The Bronco 4x400 relay team posted a time of 3:46.53.
 
In the 3K steeplechase at the Bryan Clay Invitational, Svetlana Martin clocked in at 12:19.78. Lauren Jauregui posted a time of 18:49.60 in the 5K, while Angie Arellano followed in 19:03.10.
 
Arissa Hatcher finished in 2:12.48 in the 800-meter run, shaving almost two full seconds off her previous best time and just .24 seconds off an NCAA Division II provisional mark. It moved her into the eight spot on the Broncos' all-time list. Fellow Bronco Skyler Madrid came in 2:16.81.
 
Alisa Moradian crossed the finish line in 4:55.80 in the 1500m.
 
At the Pacific Coast Invitational, Elisha Salazar posted a top-10 finish in the 400-meter race, clocking in at 56.82 seconds for seventh place. Analexis Glaude finished in 58.17 seconds.
 
Angelina Camello and Kelsey Ehinlaiye were neck-and-neck in the 100-meter dash, with Camello (12.23 seconds) just edging out Ehinlaiye (12.29 seconds). Jaelyn Thomas crossed the finish line in 12.35 seconds, while posting a time of 25.61 seconds in the 200-meter dash. Camello clocked in at 25.61 in the 200m.
 
Susie Fowler posted a time of 15.07 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, followed by Citlalli Anguiano in 15.36 seconds. Anguiano also clocked in at 1:06.70 in the 400-meter hurdles.
 
Taina Livai posted a throw of 37.84 meters in the javelin. Ehinlaiye finished with 5.31 meters in the long jump, followed by Sarah Lindenthal (5.12 meters) and Natalie Lin (5.09 meters).
 
Keiana Hamm and Lindenthal each cleared the 1.56-meter mark in the high jump. Lin grabbed a 10.78-meter jump in the triple jump.
 
Demisha Price finished with a throw of 12.58 meters in the shot put, while Keiana Turner and Teme Fanguna each threw for 11.72 meters. Ashley McBean followed at 11.70 meters.
 
Fanguna posted a throw of 39.37 in the discus, while McBean finished at 36.72 meters.
 
The Broncos wrap up the regular-season next week at the Steve Scott Invitational, hosted by UC Irvine.
