On Monday, April 25th, SAAC hosted a CPP Dodgeball Tournament in Kellogg Arena. Director of Athletics
Brian Swanson gave a welcome speech to the student-athletes before the first big event back together after the COVID-19 pandemic. Food was provided for the students and dished out by our wonderful coaches and staff. Once the feast was over, student-athletes from every sports team were split into eight teams, all with uniquely chosen names. These teams participated in a bracket that led to one winner, Team Dubs!
During each game, fellow teammates and student-athletes were cheering on their peers as they competed. There were dodgeballs flying across the gym with student-athletes weaving and dodging the balls as they fought to win. With smiles around the gym, it came down to two teams in the finals, "Team Dubs" and "The Administrators'' (teams composed of all athletes). Teammates swarmed and surrounded the court watching their friends compete for the prizes, shirts and bobbleheads.
The E-board, athletics department administration, and SAAC members are excited for the future of SAAC and were so happy to end the year's SAAC meetings with such a fun event.
