2023 NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championship Interactive Bracket

INDIANAPOLIS --  For the third time in the last four seasons, the Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team has qualified for the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championship Tournament and are headed down the street to Carson! With an 18-10 overall record, the Broncos have earned an at-large bid and will be the No. 8 seed in the West Region, facing off against No. 1 seed Cal State Dominguez Hills in the West Region quarterfinal scheduled for Friday at 7:30 pm. CCAA regular season champion Cal State Dominguez Hills (28-2) earned the No. 1 seed in the West and will host the West Regional tournament at the Torodome in Carson. Western Washington (24-3), the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) champions, snatched the No. 2 seed and CCAA Tournament champion Cal State San Marcos (23-5) is the No. 3 seed. Montana State Billings (24-7) comes in at No. 4, followed by Cal State LA (20-9) at No. 5, Central Washington (21-8) at No. 6, and Azusa Pacific (25-4), the PacWest Conference Tournament champions, at No. 7 ahead of CPP at No. 8.

Cal State Dominguez Hills will serve as the host of the eight-team regional, beginning with four games on Friday in quarterfinal action at the Torodome. Two semifinal games will be held on Saturday and the West Regional Championship will be played Monday night. The winner of the West Regional will advance to the Elite Eight in St. Joseph, Missouri on Mar. 20-22 and the National Championship game will be contested alongside the Division I Final Four festivities in Dallas, Texas on Apr. 1.

Cal Poly Pomona will be making its 28th appearance in the NCAA Tournament, and the seventh appearance under the leadership of 13th-year head coach Danelle Bishop. As a program, the Broncos have five National Championships under their belt, tied for the most all-time in NCAA Division II Women's Basketball history. The last national titles for CPP women's basketball came in back-to-back seasons in 2000-01 and again in 2001-02.
