FINAL RESULTS
AZUSA, Calif. – A week after winning its second consecutive CCAA championship, members of the Cal Poly Pomona women's track and field team took part at the APU Franson Last Chance Meet in Azusa to improve upon personal-bests to improve their shot at qualifying for the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships later this month.
Four Broncos earned personal-bests to move up in the program's all-time Top 10 Record Book, including
Susie Fowler (100m Hurdles),
Keiana Turner (Hammer),
Kelsey Ehinlaiye (Long Jump) and
Natalie Lin (Triple Jump).
The selections for the 2023 NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships will be announced Tuesday
HERE. Nationals is set for May 25-27 at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl in Pueblo, Colo.
RECORD BOOK UPDATES
- Susie Fowler ran a personal-best 13.70 in the 100m Hurdles on Friday and remains at No. 4 all-time at CPP in the event.
- Keiana Turner set a new career-best in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 52.18 meters, and she remains at No. 2 all-time at CPP, closing in on the record of 53.97m set by Carissa English in 2015.
- Kelsey Ehinlaiye jumped into the Top 10 Record Book in the Long Jump with a mark of 5.86 meters, which is a new personal-best and now tied for No. 7 all-time at CPP.
- Natalie Lin bested her career-high in the Triple Jump with a mark of 11.63 meters, and is now No. 7 all-time in program-history.
