PUEBLO, Colo. --
Ayana Fields, Ryan Fields and the 4x400 Relay Team all qualified for Saturday's final races to highlight day two of the 2023 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl in Pueblo, Colo.

Updates will be made here and on Twitter at @CPPBroncos throughout the weekend.

Ayana Fields opened the day for the Broncos after a slight weather delay in the Pueblo area by winning her heat in the 200 Meter prelims and taking second overall with a wind-aided time of 22.91. She automatically qualifies for Saturday's final and is guaranteed All-America honors for the event. She also anchored the Women's 4x400 Relay Team alongside Jaelyn Thomas, Yuna Queniat and Ari Milton to capture eighth place overall, securing a spot in Saturday's final race.

Ryan Fields was the only other Bronco to qualify on Friday for Saturday's action. He ran a 13.84 and took fourth in his heat, capturing the eighth and final spot in Saturday's race. He will also take home All-America honors in the event.

Susie Fowler and Nnamdi Onwaeze also competed in the preliminary races on Friday for CPP. Fowler ran the Women's 100 Meter Hurdles in a time of 14.03, but took fifth in her heat and 15th overall. Onwaeze ran a 14.14 in the Men's 110 Meter Hurdles, but was fifth in his heat and 17th overall. Neither Fowler or Onwaeze will advance to Saturday.

As it stands, the Broncos will compete for individual national championships in seven events on Saturday -- the Women's 4x100, Women's Triple Jump (Jade De Souza), Men's 110H (Ryan Fields), Women's 400 Meters (Ayana Fields), Men's 400H (Ryan Fields), Women's 200 Meters (Ayana Fields) and the Women's 4x400.
