POMONA -
The 42nd annual Bronco Golf Classic, once again benefiting Cal Poly Pomona student-athletes, returns to the Glendora Country Club later this month on Monday, July 31.

The CPP Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is pleased to be welcoming donors, sponsors, campus partners, alumni and friends for another great event under the Southern California sun in Glendora.

Following a traditional scramble format, the day includes a continental breakfast and putting contest beginning at 9 a.m., lunch served on the course after a shotgun start at 11 a.m., and dinner at the conclusion along with the awarding of team and individual prizes at approximately 5 p.m. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase during morning check-in.

Presenting partners for this 2023 installment include State Farm, Pepsi, and the Cal Poly Pomona Foundation.

Individual and foursome packages, as well as tee and green sponsorships, are available and registration is currently open. Click the link above or HERE to sign up for this year's classic.

The Broncos produced another banner academic year in 2022-23. In the classroom, they maintained a cumulative grade-point average of 3.29 for the 2023 spring semester, with an NCAA Division II Academic Success Rate of 82 percent. A total of 169 of them, or 72 percent, achieved a GPA of 3.00 or higher, with 84 earning Dean's List recognition.

Athletically, the CPP men's and women's track and field programs both repeated as California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) champions, qualifying 12 student-athletes to the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in Pueblo, Colo. The volleyball team lifted its first CCAA Tournament trophy back in the fall, with the men's and women's cross country, men's soccer, women's basketball and baseball squads also participating in the NCAA postseason. In the community, Broncos logged over 500 service hours throughout the year.

Last year's edition on Monday, Aug. 1, attracted 96 golfers to the same venue after the Bronco Golf Classic went on hiatus in 2019 and 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
