AZUSA, Calif. – The Cal Poly Pomona men's track and field team had a meet to remember this past weekend at the Franson Last Chance Meet, breaking three school records while reaching 15 NCAA provisional qualifying marks and setting eight personal records.
 
Lorenzo Boyd broke a 52-year old school record in the 100 meter dash, passing Dave Gillard's 1972 record of 10.24 by one one-hundredth of a second. This time ranks second-fastest in the west region this season and eighth-fastest in the nation.
 
Ryan Fields became the national leader in the 400-meter hurdles with a new school record of 49.96 seconds at APU. This season, he broke both his own school records in the 110-meter hurdles and the 400-meter hurdles.
 
The 4x100 relay team became the first group in school history to finish under 40 seconds, breaking the school record with a time of 39.98. That mark ranks 12^th in the nation this season.
