ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - The Cal Poly Pomona men's soccer team concluded its 2025 season with six Broncos receiving All-CCAA honors. The Broncos finished the year with an overall record of 7-6-5 and a 2-5-3 mark in conference play.
Leading the way was junior transfer
Marvin Gamez, who made an immediate impact in his first season with the Broncos. The El Camino College transfer was named CCAA Newcomer of the Year and earned a spot on the All-CCAA First Team. Gamez appeared in 17 of 18 matches and finished the season with eight goals and five assists. He also earned one CCAA Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Senior forward
Sam Lena closed out his collegiate career by earning All-CCAA Second Team recognition. A steady presence in the attacking third, Lena tallied three goals and four assists this season. This marks Lena's second consecutive year receiving conference honors, after earning an honorable mention in 2024.
Four Broncos,
Jack Chapman,
Emiliano Garcia,
Clement Badger, and
Jakob Singh, earned All-CCAA Honorable Mention accolades.
Chapman, a junior goalkeeper, anchored the Bronco defense with 1,068 minutes in goal and 39 saves. This is Chapman's second straight season receiving honorable mention recognition, after also receiving the recognition at Sonoma State last season.
Garcia, one of the team's standout freshmen, made an immediate defensive impact. The first-year defender logged 1,541 minutes, notched three goals, and earned one CCAA Defensive Athlete of the Week honor during the season.
Badger, a junior forward, provided consistency and versatility, appearing in all 18 matches and contributing four goals, including two game winners.
Singh, a senior forward, rounded out the group of honorees. He appeared in 16 of the team's 18 matches, scoring two goals and adding one assist, earning an honorable mention for the second consecutive year.
Head coach
Matt O'Sullivan and his staff aim to guide the Broncos back to the postseason in 2026. Under O'Sullivan, the Broncos' record now stands at 71-23-30 and 40-9-17 in CCAA Conference play.
