Pomona, Calif. - The Cal Poly Pomona women's soccer team continues its historic postseason run with another major milestone: three Broncos have been named to the prestigious United Soccer Coaches All-America teams. Only 36 NCAA Division II women's soccer athletes nationwide received All-America recognition this season, and CPP is one of the few programs to feature multiple honorees. With these selections, just 10 Broncos in program history have earned All-America distinction, highlighting the program's national presence as the team heads into the NCAA Final Four.

Senior forward Vanessa Cruz has cemented herself as one of the most accomplished players ever to wear a Bronco uniform. Named to the First Team for the second consecutive year, she becomes only the second athlete in program history to earn back-to-back First Team honors and one of just six athletes nationwide to repeat as an All-American this season. Cruz is also one of only four forwards selected to the First Team. She has delivered another remarkable campaign, breaking the program record for penalty kick goals with six, including two that secured victories. She has totaled 13 goals and 2 assists so far, and her impact has been especially evident in postseason play, including her crucial goal in the NCAA semifinal against No. 1 Dallas Baptist that helped send the Broncos to the Final Four as their season continues.

Senior defender Liberty Ortiz adds to the program's historic achievement by earning Second Team All-America honors, becoming only the second Bronco ever to receive this recognition and the first since 1998. One of only three defenders selected nationwide, Ortiz has been the anchor of CPP's back line. She has logged 1,910 minutes this season, allowing only 11 goals in matches she has played, while contributing two goals of her own, including a game winner. Ortiz has played the full 90 minutes in all but four matches this year and was also named to the CAA All American Third Team, making her just the third athlete in program history to earn that distinction.

Senior midfielder Marisa Salazar completes Cal Poly Pomona's group of honorees as a Third Team All-American, becoming only the second athlete in program history to earn the award and the first since 2001. One of just three midfielders selected nationwide, Salazar has been a vital presence throughout the season and postseason. She has scored seven goals and tallied three assists, with three of her goals standing as game winners. Her most significant moment came in the NCAA quarterfinal against No. 1 Dallas Baptist, where her decisive strike secured the Broncos a place in the Final Four.
