FAIRBANKS – Cal Poly Pomona volleyball saw two players receive All-West Region honors on Wednesday, with junior
Sarah Ybarra being named to both the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) First Team, while freshman
Kacie Caoili was named AVCA West Region Freshman of the Year and All-West Region Honorable Mention. This marks the fifth consecutive season since 2021 that the Broncos have had multiple players receive All-Region honors.

Ybarra repeated as an AVCA All-West Region First Team honoree, while also being named to the D2CCA All-West Region First Team. She was named the 2025 CCAA Player of the Year, marking the third time in the past four seasons that a Bronco has received the honor.

She is just the fourth player in program history to ever be named the conference's player of the year, while also being named to the All-CCAA First Team. Ybarra was among the region's best on attack, ranking second in the west with 4.93 kills per set and 5.46 points per set, while also ranking Top 15 in the region in attacks per set (11.34), hitting percentage (.299), and total kills (350).

Caoili was named AVCA West Region Freshman of the Year, joining Kira Zimmeran in 2018 as only the second Bronco to receive the honor. She was also named an AVCA All-West Region Honorable Mention, after winning both CCAA Setter and Freshman of the Year.

The true freshman proved to be one of the very best setters in the region, ranking second in assists per set (10.76) and fourth in total assists (915).
