CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Cal Poly Pomona Broncos recorded several personal bests and significant accomplishments at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational.
Vivian Martinez led the way on the track, taking second place in the 1500-meter run with a personal best time of 4:29.18. Her impressive performance not only earned her a top spot but also ranked her fourth all-time in program history. Martinez's time also met the NCAA provisional qualifying standard.
In the field events,
Isabelle Campos continued the momentum by recording a personal best of her own. She threw 47.75 meters in the hammer throw, which now stands as the eighth-best mark in program history.
Overall, 14 Broncos achieved personal bests throughout the meet, showcasing the team's depth and continued improvement as the season progresses.
Up next, Cal Poly Pomona will take on top competition at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays, scheduled for April 17–19.
