LA JOLLA, Calif. – The Cal Poly Pomona men's track & field team had a strong showing at the Triton Invitational, hosted by UC San Diego.
Thomas Tuff led the way with an impressive performance in the shot put, where he placed 14th with a throw of 15.59 meters. This mark now ranks him fifth in the CCAA. In addition to his shot put success, Tuff competed in the discus, where he finished 14th with a throw that places him sixth in the CCAA rankings.
Cory Gamero also had a solid outing, taking ninth place in the discus. His performance now ranks him second in the CCAA, further solidifying his standing among the conference's best throwers.
Jared Rhett participated in the discus event as well, securing a 23rd-place finish with a throw of 42.09 meters. This result places him 16th overall in the CCAA rankings, showcasing his consistent performance in the event.
Finally,
Mar'Agen Fowler competed in the hammer throw, where he placed 10th with a mark of 50.23 meters. This throw positions him 8th in the CCAA, adding another strong result for the Broncos.
