TURLOCK, Calif. - The Broncos opened the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships with a strong showing, finishing Day 1 at the top of the team standings with 43 points—just half a point ahead of Chico State. The team's depth and standout performances across multiple events have positioned them well heading into the rest of the meet.
Neshara Smith led the way with a record-breaking performance in the Heptathlon 100-meter hurdles, setting a new meet record. She continued her momentum in the long jump, where she placed second with a mark that ranks among the top 10 in program history and meets the NCAA provisional qualifying standard.
