AZUSA, Calif. – The Cal Poly Pomona men's track and field team delivered an impressive performance over the weekend at the Franson Last Chance Meet.
A standout moment of the meet came from the 4x400 meter relay team—
Alessio Sommacal,
Leroy Crook Jr.,
Joshua Morinaga, and
Camden Patterson—who shattered their own school record and climbed higher in the national rankings.
Jaeden Correa also turned heads in the pole vault, recording a mark that earned him a spot in the program's all-time top 10 while securing an NCAA provisional qualifying standard. In the distance events,
Juan Ramos clocked a standout time in the 1500 meters, also entering the top 10 in school history.
With multiple strong performances and potential national qualifiers, the Broncos now await Tuesday's NCAA selection announcement to learn who will be advancing to the 2025 NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships in Pueblo, Colorado.
