LOS ANGELES, Calif. – With one final opportunity to punch their tickets to nationals,
Isabelle Carreon and
Gavin Hanes delivered clutch performances in the pole vault at the Very Very Last Chance Meet hosted by Cal State LA.
In the women's competition, Carreon soared to a new personal best, breaking her own school record and hitting the NCAA provisional mark. The standout performance not only solidified her place in program history but also boosted her standing in the national rankings.
On the men's side, Hanes rose to the occasion with a lifetime best of his own, also securing an NCAA provisional mark. His mark places him fifth all-time in program history and significantly increases his chances of a national berth.
The Broncos now turn their attention to Tuesday's NCAA selection release, awaiting the official announcement of national qualifiers.
