AZUSA, Calif. – The Cal Poly Pomona women's track and field team had a strong weekend at the Franson Last Chance Meet, with several athletes achieving personal bests and earning spots in the program's record books.
Vivian Martinez led the way with a historic run in the 1500 meters, breaking a nine-year-old school record with a time of 4:21.87. Her performance also secured an NCAA provisional qualifying mark, positioning her as a strong contender for Nationals.
In the sprints,
Ta'Ahjah Fann cracked the program's all-time top 10 list in the 100-meter dash, moving into sixth place.
The field events saw strong performances as well.
Natalie Lin reached sixth all-time in the triple jump with a mark of 11.84 meters. In the pole vault, both
Kendra Williams and
