CLEVELAND – Cal Poly Pomona Athletics added yet another milestone to their historic 2024-25 academic year, finishing with 410.5 points in the final Learfield Director's Cup Standings, released by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) on Tuesday morning. This point total marks the most in department history in a given academic year since the award was introduced in 1995.
The LEARFIELD Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between NACDA and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in the NCAA Championships. Overall, 15 sports are counted in the final DII standings, four of which must be women's volleyball and basketball and men's basketball and baseball. The next highest (11 max.) sports scored for each institution, regardless of gender, are used in the standings.
Grand Valley State University from Allendale, Michigan won their 17th Director's Cup, compiling 1080.5 total points across 19 sports.

CPP had previously been ranked No. 4 in the nation after the conclusion of the fall sports season with 267 points, and No. 18 after the conclusion of the winter sports season with 337 points – both of which were the most in department history through those respective seasons.
