KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Cal Poly Pomona Men's Soccer team has made history during the 2024-25 academic year by achieving the highest team GPA ever recorded in the program's history, a stellar 3.54. Not only is this a program record, but it also marks the highest team GPA ever achieved by any men's athletic program in Bronco history. This outstanding academic performance earned them the prestigious United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award, recognizing their dedication to excellence both on the field and in the classroom.
In addition to their overall GPA, the Broncos posted an impressive spring term GPA of 3.65, marking the highest single-term academic performance in program history. This remarkable achievement highlights the team's continuous commitment to academic success throughout the year.
The award, announced by United Soccer Coaches, honors collegiate soccer programs nationwide that maintain a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. This year, 753 teams across the country were recognized, including 307 men's and 446 women's teams. Cal Poly Pomona's men's team not only surpassed the minimum requirement but also set new benchmarks for academic excellence within their program.
