SEATTLE, Wash. - Cal Poly Pomona women's indoor track and field delivered a strong all-around performance at the UW Invitational, highlighted by a school record, multiple NCAA DII qualifying marks, and a deep list of top 10 program performances.
Vivian Martinez stole the spotlight in the 3,000 meters, breaking her own school record with a time of 9:58.90, while Neshara Smith (8.64) and Arissa Hatcher (2:13.03) each posted NCAA DII qualifying marks in the 60-meter hurdles and 800 meters.
The Broncos continued to build momentum as CPP top 10 marks were added by 13 athletes, underscoring a productive and confidence-building showing for the team in Seattle. The strong performances set an encouraging tone as the Broncos look ahead to the rest of the season.
