VIRGINIA BEACH, VA - Cal Poly Pomona's women's track and field program added to its legacy this weekend as Neshara Smith delivered an outstanding performance at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Smith competed in two events and earned All-American recognition in both, continuing an already impressive collegiate career.

In the long jump, Smith recorded a ninth-place finish, earning Second Team All-American honors. She followed that performance with an even stronger showing in the 60-meter hurdles, placing fifth overall to secure First Team All-American honors against a highly competitive national field.

The pair of accolades marks another milestone for Smith, who is now a four-time All-American. She previously earned All-American honors during the 2025 season in both the indoor 60-meter hurdles and the outdoor 100-meter hurdles, further establishing herself as one of the program's top performers.

Beyond the track, Smith reflected on how meaningful the achievement has been given her personal journey. "Being an All-American for the fourth time is such a fulfilling feeling. I was homeless before committing to Cal Poly Pomona, so I am very grateful for everything I have earned so far in my time here. To my fellow athletes stay hungry, determined, and confident. It truly gets you far. Lastly, but certainly not least go Broncos!"

Smith's success also contributed to a historic milestone for the program. With her two All-American honors from the championship meet, the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos women's track and field now has 123 All-Americans in program history.

Following a strong indoor championship performance, the Broncos will look to carry that momentum into the outdoor season as they continue building on the program's success.
