Baseball Places Three on Multiple All-West Region Teams

POMONA, Calif. - Cal Poly Pomona baseball standouts Anthony Vasquez, Andrew Campbell and Jack Sanders each earned ABCA/Rawlings, D2CCA, and NCBWA All-West Region Second Team honors following impressive 2026 campaigns.
 
The trio also garnered All-CCAA First Team recognition while helping lead Cal Poly Pomona to the CCAA Tournament Championship and the program's 17th appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
 
Vasquez, a junior right-handed pitcher from Covina, put together one of the top seasons on the Broncos' pitching staff. He made 12 appearances with 11 starts, posting a 3.63 ERA and a 3-1 record across 67.0 innings pitched while striking out 59 batters. The Charter Oak High School product recorded two complete-game shutouts against Chico State and Cal State Monterey Bay and held opponents to a .245 batting average.
 
Vasquez ranked second on the team in both innings pitched and strikeouts, while also earning NCBWA West Region Pitcher of the Week and CCAA Pitcher of the Week honors for March 30-April 5. He struck out a career-high eight batters against Azusa Pacific on Jan. 31.
 
Campbell, a senior right-hander from Riverside, anchored the Broncos' rotation throughout the season. He led the team with 11 victories and logged a staff-best 80.1 innings over 15 appearances and 13 starts. Campbell finished the year with a 4.03 ERA and 62 strikeouts while holding opposing hitters to a .291 batting average.
 
The Martin Luther King High School graduate earned All-CCAA First Team honors and was named to the CCAA All-Tournament Team after delivering several key performances down the stretch. Campbell recorded eight outings of at least 5.0 innings while allowing one or fewer earned runs and struck out a season-high seven batters against Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 27.
 
Sanders, a redshirt senior outfielder from San Diego, turned in one of the most productive offensive seasons in the conference. Starting all 52 games he appeared in, Sanders led the Broncos with 14 home runs, 55 RBI, and 125 total bases while batting .307 with 66 hits, 50 runs scored and 20 stolen bases. He also posted a .965 OPS and a .581 slugging percentage.
 
The Palomar College transfer earned CCAA Player of the Week and NCBWA West Region Player of the Week honors following opening weekend after batting .533 with four home runs and 11 RBI. That same weekend, he also authored one of the greatest individual performances in program history against Azusa Pacific on Jan. 31, tying school single-game records with six hits, six runs scored, nine RBI, and three home runs.
