In 2013 Cross Country: Guided the Broncos to an eighth-place finish at nationals for the program's top performance since 1997... He placed 38th individually at the D-II National Championships, becoming the program's 17th All-American and his time of 31.14.3 marked the 11th-fastest mark in school history... Posted a season-best time of 24.47.9 at the UC Riverside Invite... He also raced in the CCAA Championships and finished the 8,000-meter race with a time of 25.01.7 to place seventh and earn All-CCAA honors.

In 2013 Track and Field: Competed in three different events in the 2013 season... Turned in the team’s top 1500-meter time with a mark of 3:56.42 in April at Pomona Pitzer... Finished with the team’s top two times in both the 3,000-meter and 5,000-meter races.

At Cal State Fullerton: Served as the captain of CSUF's cross country team in 2011 and earned the program's Runner of the Year honor... Finished the 2011 NCAA Division I West Region Championships with a 31:40 mark through the 10,000-meter course... Placed 23rd at the 2011 Big West Conference Championships with a time of 24:45.3, the top mark for the Titans' squad... Also competed in track and field, setting a new 5,000-meter personal best at 14:31.

High School: A 2009 graduate of La Quinta High School... Set the program's three-mile record at 14:58... In both 2007 and 2008, he advanced as a CIF State Championship Individual Qualifier and also captured Garden Grove League Cross Country titles... Collected All-Orange County First Team recognition in 2008... Become the Garden Grove League record holder for the 1,600-meter event in 2007.

Personal: Son of Holly and Richard Carrell... His twin brother Ryan also competes on the Broncos' cross country and track and field teams... Has an older sister named Claire... Kinesiology major...
