Biography
As a Junior in 2014: Beginning his Bronco career, he recorded a 196-11 mark in javelin at the Cal-Nevada Championships, the No. 3 all-time record in Bronco history… Also competing in shotput, he recorded a 42-02 mark at the CCAA Track & Field Championships... Earned a spot on the CCAA All-Academic Team for earning a grade point average above 3.40 through the 2013-14 academic year.
At Mt. San Antionio College: Set personal records in the hammer (42.07m), javelin (36.22m) and discus (43.86m) while competing for the Mounties.
High School: A 2010 graduate of Servite High School... Captured two individual league championship titles in the shot put (52 ft) and the discus (155 ft)... Competed in the State Championships in football... Earned the Dean's Award for having a 3.0 grade point average.
Personal: Son of Joseph and Diana Perez.... Food and Nutrition major... Has one sister named Natalie... Favorite professional athlete is Cain Velasquez...
