Biography
As a Junior in 2014: Earned All-West Region honors for her impressive throwing performances... Recorded a season best at 164-8 in the hammer at Claremont Mudd Scripps and followed that up with a top discus distance of 121 at UCSD in late April... At the CCAA Championships, she placed third in the hammer.
At Cerritos College: Advanced to the state championships in the hammer throw during both the 2012 and 2013 seasons... Finished fifth in the state for the hammer in 2013... Captured the South Coast Conference individual title with a hammer throw of 47.06 meters... Also excelled academically, earning the school's Fall 2013 Curricular Award for Psychology.
High School: A 2011 graduate of Marina High School... Finished fifth on the school's all-time list for the discus with a throw of 115 feet... Advanced to the CIF postseason for shotput as a junior.
Personal: Daughter of Bryan and Denise English, both of whom graduated from Long Beach State... Her father played baseball collegiately... Has a younger sister named Gillian... Psychology major... Enjoys going to the movies and hanging out with friends in her free time... Aspires to become a psychiatric social worker.
