Biography
As a Junior in 2011: Continued her steady improvement as a Bronco and capped the 2011 season off with an appearance at the NCAA Division II National Championships in Turlock... Earned the chance to compete in two championship events, recording a 100-meter hurdles qualifier of 14.10 at Cal State L.A. to qualify and a standard of 19-2.75 in the long jump on May 6 at the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships... Finished 16th nationally in the long jump and 17th in the 100-meter hurdles... Also a member of the Broncos' top 4x100 relay team... Received All-West Region distinction from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
As a Sophomore in 2010: Put together a stellar sophomore campaign for CPP, starring in the long jump, high jump and hurdles... Posted the team's top 100 hurdles time of the season at 14.54 on March 20 at the Trojan Invitational as she reached a provisional qualifier having only competed in hurdles four times previously... On that same day, she posted a triple jump distance of 36-5.5.
As a Freshman in 2009: Outstanding debut season for the Broncos… Top Bronco finisher at CCAA Championships… Placed second in the triple jump with NCAA provisional leap of 37-11 ¼… Ranks fifth on all-time school charts… Also ran the sprints for CPP... Season-bests include: 100 (12.64), 200 (27.44). high jump (4-7 ½) and long jump (17-7 ½).
High School: A 2008 graduate of Chaffey High School, where she earned Mount Baldy All-Conference honors in the pole vault and the long jump… Owns personal bests of 13.1 (100), 17-7 (long jump) and 34-0 (triple jump)… Earned Principal’s Honor Roll for six semesters… Named MVP for field events as a senior…Earned Coach’s Award… Reached CIFs twice… Played basketball and helped team to CIF playoffs all four years, while reaching the championship as a senior.
Personal: Daughter of Lajerel Holloway and Detra Kelley-Holloway… Kinesiology major... Enjoys playing video games, shoe shopping and hanging out with friends and family in her free time... Favorite athlete is Florence Griffith-Joyner... Favorite teams are the Los Angeles Lakers, the U.S. Track & Field squad and the Los Angeles Sparks... Aspires to become a physical education and history teacher, while also earning a certificate for interpreting American Sign Language.
