Biography
2009: Earned All-American status by placing 7th in the 100 meters at the NCAA Championships in San Angelo, Texas… A three-time NCAA meet participant… Ran season-best 10.43 in the preliminaries… Ran 10.48 in the finals and became first Bronco All-American in the 100 in 37 years… Named the Most Outstanding Male Athlete at the CCAA Championships in Chico… Won three individual titles and a second-place effort in the 4 x 100 relay on the final day… Ran winning races in the 100 (10.56), and reached NCAA provisional standards of 21.44 in the 200 and reached 23-6 ¼ in the long jump… Team ran season-best 41.66 in the 4 x 100 relay.
2008: One of three Bronco men to qualify for the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships at Mt. SAC and hosted by Cal Poly Pomona… Ran 10.75 in the 100 meter preliminaries… Earned a pair of All-CCAA honors by finishing second in the 100 (10.53) and third in the 200 (21.68)… Ran 10.53 at Mt. SAC Invitational…Owned season-best time 21.34 in the 200 at Ben Brown meet and met NCAA provisional standard… Ran season-best 400 (50.60) at Cal State L.A.
2007: Competed in three events in the NCAA Division II meet in Charlotte, N.C.… Ran 10.67 in the 100 prelims, 22.3 in the 200 prelims and ran leg on the 4x100-meter relay team (40.97)… Owns 2nd best 100 time in school history (10.36)… Ranks 4th in the 200 in CPP history (21.34)… Ran leg on top 4 x 100 relay team in school history (40.86)… Earned CCAA Freshman of the Year honors… Won the CCAA 100 in 10.69… 4 x 100 relay team won the CCAA title in 41.02… Earned CCAA track and field athlete honors for the week of March 5-11… Standout freshman year was highlighted with 2007 Pan-Am Junior Championships appearance in Sao Paulo, Brazil… Ran on 4 x 100 relay team that won the gold medal in 39.43…Finished fourth in the 100 at the U.S. Junior Track and Field Championships in 10.40… Finished eighth in the 200 in 21.91.
At Temecula Valley HS: Earned All-State and All-America honors… CIF 100 meter champion… Also earned All-League and All-Riverside County honors… Best time of 10.38 in the 100 was the sixth-fastest high-school time in the country in 2006 and his best mark of 21.17 in the 200 was the 17th-fastest time in the country… Owns a 23-2.5 mark in the long jump… Competed in football.
Personal: Son of Cynthia Williams… Behavioral science major… Enjoys playing the video games Madden and Halo 2… Competing in Brazil at the Pan-Am Games is his biggest sports moment.
