Biography
In 2016 Track & Field: Competed in the 5,000-meter event three times, including a 19:20.85 mark at the Triton Invitational to set a personal best... Earned a spot on the CCAA All-Academic Team after maintaining a grade point average above 3.40 through the 2015-16 academic year.
In 2015 Cross Country: At the UC Riverside Invitational, set a personal best in the 5,000-meter event with a 20:22.3.
In 2014 Cross Country: As a freshman, she set her personal best marks for the Broncos in both the 5,000- and 6,000-meter races. In the 5,000-meter, she set a mark at 20:40, and in the 6,000-meter, she set a 25:09.4.
High School: A 2014 graduate of Santee Education Complex... Named the Most Valuable and Most Dedicated runner for cross country and track while serving as captain... Qualified for the city finals in 2013 cross country and 2014 track... Earned Principal's List honors all four years... Graduated with high honors.
Personal: Daughter of Enrique Perez and Francisca Cazarez... Has a younger sister named Jennifer... Food Science and Technology major... Enjoys walking on the beach and hanging out with family in her free time... Aspires to become a food scientist, work for the FDA and become a chef.
