Biography
As a Junior in 2010: A consistently strong track and field athlete across the board and that showed with his fourth-place decathlon performance at the CCAA Championships hosted by UC San Diego in early May... In that event, he totaled 6,234 points as he was helped by a first-place performance in the 110 hurdles and a third-place showing in the pole vault.
As a Sophomore in 2009: Solid sophomore season for the Broncos… Placed fourth in the decathlon at the CCAA Championships… Picked up a point in the CCAA 110-hurdles… Recorded season-bests in the following: 100 (11.87), 400 (51.76), 1500 (5:04.48), 110 hurdles (15.54), high jump (5-8 ½), long jump (20-6 ¼), shot put (33-3), discus (100-1), javelin (159-6), pole vault (13-1 ½).
As a Freshman in 2008: Earned a spot on the CPP "Scholar-Ballers" list for holding a grade-point average over 3.40 during the 2007-08 school year... Finished seventh in both the 110 hurdles (16.47) and 400 hurdles (season-best 60.65) at the CCAA Championships…Ran season-best 16.43 in the 110s at APU… Threw the javelin 130-11 at APU.
High School: A 2007 graduate of Redlands High School, where he was a three-time scholar athlete… Earned coach’s award and captain’s award in 2007… Most improved in 2006… Personal bests include: 110 hurdles (16.08) and 300 hurdles (41.66)… Also played soccer… Honors student.
Personal: Son of John and Donna Macrorie… Industrial Engineering major… Has three older siblings named Grant, Heather and Kelly... Enjoys working on cars, woodworking, sculpting, flying airplanes and hanging out with friends and family in his free time... Favorite athlete is Bryan Clay... Aspires to become a pilot, engineer and business owner.
