Biography
As a Junior in 2012: Recorded team’s top 2012 marks in shotput and hammer throw events… Posted the eighth-best hammer throw in school history with a mark of 176-08… Set a new personal best in the shotput with a distance of 51-0.5, ranking 10th all-time in Broncos' history… Recorded team’s top discus mark of 153-11.
As a Sophomore in 2011: Finished with the team's top shotput mark of the season, recording a distance of 48-0.5 at the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships on May 6... Also put together a strong showing in the discus and hammer, registering personal bests of 149-6 and 159-11 respectively in those two events... Selected to the CCAA All-Academic Team after maintaining a grade point average above 3.40 through the 2010-11 school year.
As a Freshman in 2010: Earned a spot on the CCAA All-Academic Team and the CPP "Scholar-Ballers" list for the 2009-10 school year after maintaining a grade-point average above 3.40... Recorded team's top marks in discus and hammer events at the CCAA Championships held at UC San Diego in early May... His discus mark of 144-11 stood as the fourth-best in the conference and his 135-4 hammer distance placed ninth overall... Also registered a top shot put distance of 42-4 earlier in the season.
High School: A 2008 graduate of Upland High School... Four-year letter winner in track and lettered three years in football... Owns personal-bests of 50-9 in the shot put and established the school record in the discus (167-3)... Named Baseline League's Outstanding Senior... Served as team captain for both football and track his senior season... Compiled a 3.94 grade-point average during his high school career.
