Biography
In 2011 Track & Field: Posted the team's top 400-meter time with a 59.00 mark on March 5 in Fullerton... Also raced well in the 200-meter event, posting a best of 26.54 on May 1 at UC Irvine... Member of the 4x400 relay team that placed fifth at the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships in Turlock... Earned CCAA All-Academic Honors through the 2010-11 school year for maintaining a grade point average above 3.40.
In 2010 Cross Country: Competed in five races during the fall season, putting together her best 6,000-meter time (24:43.6) at the Bronco Preview Meet.
At Citrus College: An honorable mention all-conference selection in 2009 and earned second-team honors in 2008... Owns personal best 19:46 over 5,000 meters... Named Most Improved and Most Inspirational runner... Graduated on the dean's list.
High School: A 2007 graduate of Covina High School, where she was a four-year letterwinner in track and field and lettered twice in cross country... Owns personal bests of 59 seconds in the 400 and 26 seconds in the 200... Earned All-League honors during 2006 and 2007 for the 400-meter, 4x100 and 4x400 events.
Personal: Daughter of Nick and Angelica Acedo... Kinesiology major... Has two siblings named Nicholas and Jessica... Enjoys going out to clubs, playing with her dog, hanging out with friends and watching movies in her free time... Favorite pro teams is the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim... Aspires to become a physical education teacher.
