As a Redshirt Junior in 2011: Finished with the team's second-best shotput mark of the 2011 season, recording a distance of 45-9 at UC San Diego on April 23... Also competed in the hammer throw, setting a season best of 150-0 on April 15 at Azusa Pacific.
As a Junior in 2010: Competed in limited action during the 2010 season.
As a Sophomore in 2009: Competed in the all four weight events for CPP… Threw the shot put season-best 40-4 at CCAAs… Went 119-7 in the discus… Threw the javelin 147-4… Season-best 131-2 in the hammer.
As a Freshman in 2008: Placed eighth in the javelin at the CCAA Championships (156-4)… Posted season bests in the shot put (38-11 ¾), discus (115-9) and hammer throw (125-6).
High School: A 2007 graduate of Redlands High School... Owned personal bests in the shot put (43 feet) and discus (114 feet)… Played football and soccer… Earned captain’s award in track in 2007 and played on Citrus Belt League champion football team in 2006… Honors student.
Personal: Son of Lloyd and Maureen Schultz… A double-major in Mechanical Engineering and Finance Contract Management… Enjoys being outside in his free time... Favorite pro teams are the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Dodgers... Aspires to work for Southern California Edison.
