The CCAA has proven to be extremely competitive this season - with seven of the nine teams owning win percentages at or above .500 this season.
 
Before the game, the Cal Poly Pomona Athletics Department inducted five individuals and one team into the CPP Athletics Hall of Fame as the Class of 2026. One of those individuals was longtime baseball assistant coach Jimmy Ramos, who is currently in his 43rd season coaching with the program.
