Cal Poly Pomona women's cross country finished 16th at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course on Saturday morning, recording a team total of 1:49:22 over the 6,000-meter course and an average of 21:52.4. The team's 16th place finish ties the best in program history in the past 40 years. Senior Vivian Martinez led the Broncos with a 30th-place individual finish at 20:55.8, breaking Tiffany Dinh's school record for the fastest time at a national championship by 11 seconds. The Cal Poly Pomona men's and women's cross country teams are headed to Ash Creek Preserve in Monmouth, Oregon for the NCAA West Regionals this Saturday, November 8th. The women's 6K race will begin at 10:00 AM PST, followed by the men's 10K race at 11:15 AM PST. Following the second event, there will be a ceremony to recognize the top runners and teams in both races.   The top three teams from each race will receive automatic qualifiers into the NCAA Championships, taking place November 22nd at Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
