Stacy Parker enters his eighth season as an assistant coach for the Cal Poly Pomona baseball team in 2022.
Parker is a graduate of UC Irvine, where he played four years of collegiate baseball. He was drafted by the Texas Rangers and played four years of minor league ball, two with the Rangers' organization and two with the Phillies'.
He is currently a Kinesiology professor at Mt. San Antonio College, where he held the position of the Mounties head baseball coach for 12 seasons. He was named the South Coast Conference Coach of the Year in 2012-13 where he led the Mounties to back-to-back conference championships. Mt.SAC also reached the Super Regionals in 2009, '12, and '13.
Prior to Mt. SAC he was an assistant coach at Orange Coast College from 1992-97, from there he moved on be an assistant coach at San Diego State University for the next two years.
His experience then took him to Irvine Valley College, where he started the Lasers' baseball program.
Parker was named the Coach of the Year in Alaska, where he coached two summer leagues in 1995-96. He coaches a number of future big leaguers there such as Adam Kennedy and Michael Young.
He resides in Tustin with his two boys, Thomas and Drew.
