Biography

2009: Competed in four events for the Broncos... Finished 18th at UC San Diego's Triton Invite with 34:22.0 effort over 10,000 m.... Best 8,000-meter time was 25:46.5 at UC Riverside and placed 65th.
2008: Competed in six events… Named the CCAA Freshman of the Year… Placed 16th at the CCAA meet in 26:36.2 over 8,000 m… Owned three top-25 finishes… Placed 11th at CSU San Bernardino (26:52) and 21st at the UCSD Triton Invitational (33:47.8)… Placed 47th at the NCAA West Regional at UCSD.
At Chino Hills HS: Competed in both cross country and track and field…Posted personal-best time 15:24 over 3 miles in cross country… Ran both the 800 (2:03) and 3200 (9:46) in track and field… Finished 39th overall at the 2007 Las Vegas Marathon (2 hours, 49.49 seconds)… By virtue of his time at LV, qualified and competed in the 2008 Boston Marathon… Finished the most famous of all marathons in 3:12.
Personal: Son of Dan and Melinda Hostetler… Father is the Chair of the Plant Sciences Department at Cal Poly Pomona… A Mechanical Engineering major.
