In Cross Country 2013: Turned in an impressive debut season for the Broncos, helping CPP capture eighth place at nationals for the program's best finish since 1997... Placed 90th individually at nationals with a time of 32:06.4... Placed 12th at the Pomona Pitzer Invite, his first race as a Bronco, racing to a time of 25:52.8.

At the University of Portland: Announced in June 2013 as a recipient of a West Coast Conference Postgraduate Scholarship to obtain a Master of Science in Regenerative Studies at Cal Poly Pomona... Key member of Portland's 2009 and 2012 WCC Cross Country Champion teams and a member of the 2012 team that finished in 12th place at the NCAA Championships and second at the NCAA West Regionals.… Finished third overall at the Portland Rock N’ Roll Half Marathon in 2013 (1:08:00)… Graduated with a 3.96 grade point average, the highest cumulative GPA for any varsity athlete in the College of Arts and Sciences, with a major in Political Science and Environmental Ethics and Policy… He was a Dean's List member throughout his entire academic career, a UP Presidential Scholarship recipient, and a 2011-13 U.S. Environment Protection Agency Greater Research Opportunities Undergraduate Research Fellowship Scholarship recipient... In the community, he served as Founder and Co-President of Schools for Schools, which organizes educational and fundraising events for schools in Northern Uganda... He was an Oregon Food Bank volunteer, University of Portland Honors Program member and Debate Union member, and a volunteer coach for the Roosevelt High School speech and debate team.

High School: A 2009 graduate of Redmond High School… Had a successful career in cross country as he captured the Regional Cross Country Championship in 2007 and was the King County Cross Country Champion in 2008… King County Champion in the 3200m in 2008 and 2009…Graduated in the top one percent of his class and was an honors student throughout his time at Redmond High.

Personal: Son of Terrie and Ken Irish… Has an older sister named Bekah…Purusing a Master of Science degree in Regenerative Studies… Enjoys relaxing with friends and reading a good book in his free time… Favorite pro athlete is Haile Gebrselassie… In the future he hopes to work as a sustainable development consultant for cities around the world.
