Biography
In 2009 Track & Field: One of nine Broncos who broke 52 seconds in the 400 (personal-best 51.36 at Pomona Pitzer)... Ran team's second-fastest 800 time and established personal best of 1:53.10 at Occidental Relays.
In 2008 Cross Country: Competed in six events… Earned three top-30 finishes… Placed 11th at CSU San Bernardino (26:42 over 8,000 m)… Placed 22nd at UCSD Triton Invitational (33:48.1)… Placed 30th at CCAA meet (27:29.8)… Finished 43rd at NCAA West Regional.
In 2008 Track & Field: Versatile performer for the Broncos… Competed in five different events and season-bests were: 400 (52.06), 800 (1:56.63), 1,500 (4:11.75) and 5,000 (16:35.37)… Finished seventh in the CCAA 800 (1:56.63).
In 2007 Cross Country: Competed in five events… Finished 26th at CCAAs (26:22.1) over 8K… Named CCAA Newcomer of the Year… Earned school’s Enterprise Athlete of the Month for November… Best finish was 13th at Redlands Invitational.
High School: A 2007 graduate of Cajon High School, where he was a prep athlete scholar… Earned all-league honors in track, soccer and cross country… A four-year letter winner in cross country… Owns a personal-best of 16:09 over three miles… Ran a 2:01.1 in the 800 meters.
Personal: Son of Alberto and Maria Diaz… Marketing major… Has three siblings named Yvette, Jessica and Daniel... Enjoys video games and spending time with his girlfriend... Aspires to work in the in the action sports industry, specifically with supercross and motocross.
