Biography
As a Junior in 2014: Continuing to improve his pole vault heights, he recorded a mark of 15-5 at the Triton Invitational at UCSD… Transitioning into sprints, he also posted a time of 11.96 in the 100-meter at the Redlands Invitational.
As a Sophomore in 2013: Continued to improve in the pole vault as a sophomore and recorded the team’s second-best mark of the season at 14-9.5 on April 6 at Cal State LA.
As a Freshman in 2012: Competed in the pole vault event as a freshman and recorded the team's third-best mark of 14-10.3 on May 5 at Cal State Los Angeles.Â
High School: A 2010 graduate of Damien High School... Set a personal best in the pole vault with a mark of 13-6... CIF Prelim participant... Placed second at the league championships... Averaged a grade point average of 3.2 and received 2010 Honor Roll recognition.
Personal: Son of Allen and Debra Black... Has an older sister named Brittany... Business Administration major...
