Glenn Stewart enters his fifth season in 2013 as an assistant coach for the Cal Poly Pomona men's and women's track and field teams. Stewart's coaching focus at CPP is training the vaulters.
Before joining the Broncos in the middle of the 2008 season, Stewart served as the head coach of the Glendora High School track and field program. He first started Glendora in 1997 as an assistant coach and he took over the head coaching role in 2001. During his seven years in the top position, Stewart coached the team to six CIF Division I titles and he trained more than 50 individual league champions.
Stewart is a 1996 graduate of Cal State L.A., where he earned a degree in psychology. During his time on the CSULA campus, Stewart starred on the track and field team.
In 1994, he guided the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams to California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) titles before competing with the same groups as Division II finalists. Stewart also qualified for the NCAA D-II National Championships in the 200- and 400-meter races.
