A two-time NAIA national champion in the pole vault, Jordan Savidge enters his second season in 2014 as an assistant coach for the Cal Poly Pomona men's and women's track and field program.

Savidge put together an impressive first season as a Broncos' coach in 2013 as he helped Justin Ellerbee reach the Division II National Championships. Ellerbee also earned All-West Region honors for his work in the pole vault event.

At the 2013 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Track & Field Championships, CPP placed second on the men's side for the best finish since 2006 while the women finished third to mark the first top-three result in more than a decade. The two teams combined for six individual conference champions while 25 Broncos received All-CCAA honors.

Prior to coaching at Cal State L.A. in the 2012 campaign, Savidge held a track and field assistant coach position at Los Osos High School in 2011.

Savidge won NAIA national titles in the pole vault in 2009 and 2010 while at Azusa Pacific. He was also a California junior college state champion in the pole vault at Mt. San Antonio College in 2007. He was Mt. SAC’s Spring Athlete of the Year in 2007.

He competed in football, basketball and track and field at Smith Valley High School in Smith Valley, Nevada. He was a three-time state champion in the pole vault and the 2005 Gatorade Athlete of the Year in Nevada.

Savidge earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Azusa Pacific.
