2009: Competed in the three sprints for CPP…Ran the 100 in 11.81 at UC San Diego dual… Ran season-best 23.95 in the 200 at Pomona-Pitzer… Also ran the 400… Named to the CCAA All-Academic team… Repeat selection on DII ADA Academic Achievement Awards, presented by WeatherPORT.
2008: Competed in the following with respective best times – 100 (11.69), 200 (23.82) and the 110 hurdles (16.75)… Earned CCAA academic all-star honors… One of 17 Cal Poly Pomona student-athletes honored by the Division II Athletic Directors Association (DII ADA) as its inaugural recipients of the DII ADA Academic Achievement Awards, presented by WeatherPORT.
2007: Posted season-best times 100 (11.49), 110 hurdles (16.05) and 400 hurdles (62.13)… Earned CCAA academic all-star honors.
At Canyon HS: Team MVP his senior season… Scored one-quarter of his team’s points for the season… Most Valuable Hurdler as a sophomore and junior… Best marks include: 110 hurdles (14.9), 300 hurdles (41.9) 100 (10.9) and long jump (19-7)… Competed in soccer.
Personal: Son of Dan and the late Gail Duckworth… Political Science major… Enjoys sports, refereeing, hanging out with friends and coaching… Attending CIF, attending Dwight Stones’ Olympic Camp and winning his prep track team’s MVP are his most exciting experiences in sports.
