Biography
In 2014 Track & Field: In his debut of collegiate track & field, he recorded the fastest time in the 1,500-meter amongst the Bronco team with a mark of 4:02.12 at the San Diego State Aztec Invitational… Also competing in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, he collected a 9:40.68 mark and in the 5,000-meter he collected a 15:09.33 mark.
In 2013 Cross Country: Turned in a stellar sophomore season, placing 39th at the CCAA Championships with a 26:30.8 mark... Finished fourth at the Cal State San Bernardino meet, racing to a season-best time of 26:23.1.
In 2012 Cross Country: Raced in four meets and turned in his best 8,000-meter time at the Pomona Pitzer Invite, crossing the line in 27:06.1.
High School: A 2012 graduate of South Torrance High School... Two-time All-League honoree for both cross country and track and field... Three-time letterwinner in both sports as well... In 2010, finished second individually in cross country at the league championship... Qualified for CIF Championships in the 3,200-meter event for track and field... Set personal bests in high school of 15:41 for the three-mile race and 9:59 for the 3,200-meter event... Earned Honor Roll recognition multiple times through his high school days.
Personal: Son of Jill Meshekow and John Pankratz... Has two siblings, Kelsey and Owen... Geology major... Enjoys listening to music, playing guitar, snowboarding, wakeboarding and hanging out with family in his free time... Favorite pro athlete is Alberto Salazar... Favorite pro teams are the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Lakers... Aspires to a career in geology consulting.
