High School: A 2009 graduate of San Clemente High School... Varsity team captain as a senior and named San Clemente's track and field Athlete of the Year in 2009... Invited to 2008 U.S. Scholar-Athlete Games... Advanced to the 2009 South Coast League finals for the 300 hurdles... Earned a spot on the SCHS President's and Superintendent's honor rolls throughout his high school career... Selected as school's student representative to attend conference in Washington, D.C., in the summer of 2007.
Personal: Son of Joseph and Candace Starkey... Has an older brother named Michael... Uncle Kevin Starkey played football for Long Beach State before being drafted by the Minnesota Vikings and then playing for Canada Cardinals Stampede... Accounting major... Aspires to own an accounting firm... Favorite pro team is the Los Angeles Dodgers... Favorite athlete is JDavid Hansen... Enjoys dirtbiking and hanging out with his family in his free time.
