Biography

In 2010 Cross Country: Put together plenty of strong fall performances, helping the CPP cross country squad to a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Division II West Regional, with the team narrowly missing a spot at nationals... Took ninth at the CCAA Championships with a season-best 8,000-meter time of 25:03.9.

In 2010 Track & Field:
Earned a spot on the CCAA All-Academic Team and the CPP "Scholar-Ballers" list for the 2009-10 school year after maintaining a grade-point average above 3.40... Turned in the squad's best 10,000-meter time of 31:36.10 on March 28 at UCLA... Held the second-best 5,000-meter mark with a 14:59.00 performance on March 6 in Turlock, Calif.

In 2009 Cross Country:
Outstanding debut season for the Broncos... Earned first-team All-CCAA honors by placing 5th at CCAA Championships... Placed 16th at NCAA West Regional (31:53.1)... Named CCAA Male Runner of the Week by finishing 2nd at the UC San Diego Triton Invitational... Ran 31:59.6 in the 10,000-kilometer event and was the top top Division II runner in the field.

At San Bernardino Valley College: Member of two state cross country championship teams… As a sophomore, earned all-state honors by virtue of placing fourth (20:34 over four miles) at state meet… Earned all region and Foothill Conference honors… Earned conference honors as a freshman…Placed 33rd at state meet as a freshman.

High School: A 2006 graduate of Rim of the World High School, where he was a four-year letter winner in both track and cross country… Two-time all league in cross country… All-league honors in track (1600)…Graduated with honors and eared four academic letters… Personal bests in cross country and track include: XC (15:45 over three miles), 4:33 (1600), 10:05 (3200).

Personal: Son of Loren and Lisa Prentice… Kinesiology major…Sister Erica is a top pitcher for the Cal State San Bernardino softball team... Enjoys reading, hiking, fishing, skiing and wakeboarding near his hometown of Lake Arrowhead... Aspires to finish his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and then apply for Officer Candidate School for either the U.S. Navy or U.S. Marine Corps, with the ultimate goal of becoming a pilot.
