Biography
As a Junior in 2014: Beginning his Bronco career, he placed third in the CCAA Championships with a mark of 6,491 in decathlon and placed first in the 400-meter dash with the time of 50.07… Recording a new personal best with a mark of 6,575 in decathlon at the Cal State Northridge Multis, he now holds the No. 7 all-time record for the Broncos... Earned a spot on the CCAA All-Academic Team for earning a grade point average above 3.40 through the 2013-14 academic year.
At Cuesta College: Recorded the program's all-time fourth-best decathlon score of 6,094 in the 2010 season... Also recorded the school's fifth-best triple jump mark at 44-7... Qualified for the 2010 CCCAA State Championships in the decathlon.
High School: A 2007 graduate of Livermore High School... Tallied personal bests of 14-6 in the pole vault, 21-1.5 in the long jump and 44-9 in the triple jump... Excelled academically as well, receiving Principal's Honor Roll selection in seven semesters and the scholar-athlete award through all four years.
Personal: Son of Sonja and John Hollis... Has two siblings, Christy and Danny... General Engineering Technology major... Enjoys dirt biking, surfing and snowboarding in his free time...
