As a Sophomore in 2012: Posted a career-best mark of 15-4.25 in the pole vault on May 5 at Cal State Los Angeles… Received the Academic Achievement Award from the Division II Athletics Directors Association as she maintained a grade point average above 3.50 through the 2011-12 school year… Earned a spot on the CCAA All-Academic Team.

As a Freshman in 2011: Demonstrated plenty of versatility during his freshman campaign, competing in the 110 hurdles, pole vault, long jump, discus and javelin... Registered the second-best pole vault mark of 14-2.5 on April 23 at UC San Diego... Received a spot on the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) All-Academic Team after maintaining a grade point average above 3.40 through the 2010-11 school year.

High School: A 2010 graduate of Rancho Bernardo High School... Lettered in both track and field and football... Placed in the pole vault in the CIF Championships as a sophomore and senior... Captained the football squad during 2006 and 2007... Selected to the San Diego Union Tribune's All-Academic Team after tallying a grade-point average above 3.50.

Personal: Son of Robert and Mary Ann Voorhees... Father was a professional motocross rider and martial artist... Has an older sister named Danielle, who played water polo and competed in swimming and diving at Mesa Community College... Chemical Engineering major... Aspires to make a difference and create something that will make people’s lives better… Favorite pro team is the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim... Favorite athletes are Brad Walker and Lazaro Borges... Enjoys cooking, backpacking, camping and hanging out with friends and family in his free time.
