Biography
In 2014 Track & Field: In his track & field debut, he recorded a 1:58.40 mark in the 800-meter at the Pomona Pitzer Invitational… Also competing in the 1,500-meter, he collected a 4:08.39 mark at the Mt. SAC Relays... Earned a spot on the CCAA All-Academic Team for earning a grade point average above 3.40 through the 2013-14 academic year.
In Cross Country 2013: Competed in four meets during his freshman season... He recorded a season-best of 26:44.8 at the Pomona Pitzer Invite.
High School: A 2013 graduate of Foothill High School … Honored as the team captain of the cross country and track and field teams… Awarded Knight of the Year for track in 2013… Recognized with the Academic Award of Excellence for Engineering in 2012-13.
Personal: Son of Mary and Robert Stechmann… Has two siblings named Taylor and Sydney… Mechanical Engineering major… In his free time he enjoys hanging out with friends and building and fixing different engineering projects… Favorite pro athlete is his former track and cross country coach, Christian Cushing-Murray… Favorite sports team is the University of Pennsylvania women’s rowing team… Aspires to work in the engineering field.
