Jody Craig

Jody Craig joined Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball as an assistant coach in December 2025.

Craig joins the Broncos after an impactful tenure at Division 1 Monmouth University, where she joined the women's basketball staff in 2017 and was elevated to head coach later that year. During her time at Monmouth, Craig guided the Hawks to multiple historic milestones, including the program's highest-ever MAAC finish and several postseason runs.

In 2019-20, Craig led Monmouth to its seventh consecutive MAAC Quarterfinal appearance while building one of the nation's top defensive units-finishing the season ranked 35th nationally in scoring defense, allowing just 57.5 points per game.

During her first full season at the helm (2018-19), Craig steered Monmouth to a fourth-place MAAC finish, the highest in program history, and an appearance in the conference semifinals. Her student-athletes thrived under her guidance, earning all-conference honors and breaking significant program records, including three-point shooting and single-game scoring marks.

Craig originally took over head coaching responsibilities mid-season in 2017-18, immediately shaping Monmouth into a resilient postseason team. That year, the Hawks advanced to their fifth straight MAAC Quarterfinals after a dramatic comeback win in the opening round.

Before her Division I tenure, Craig built a powerhouse program at Foothill College, where she accumulated an impressive 448-164 career record, including a dominant 148-36 mark over her final five seasons. She developed 28 All-State players, helped 65 student-athletes transfer to NCAA programs, and led Foothill to a perfect 34-0 conference record over her last three years. Craig was named Coast Conference Coach of the Year in each of those three seasons.

Her extensive coaching background also includes roles at the University of Redlands, professional development programs at the University of Arizona and Arizona State University, and service as a USA Basketball Regional Skill Development Coach.
