Kiana Lewis is entering her second season in 2011-12 as a student manager for the Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team. She assists head coach Danelle Bishop's staff with a variety of administrative and gameday tasks, including equipment and video operations.

"We are very happy to have Kiana on staff," Bishop says. "She is a true team player and is willing to do whatever is needed."

A junior from Brea, Calif., Lewis is an Animal Science major with a pre-veterinary focus. The daughter of Art and Miriam Lewis, Kiana enjoys outdoor activities and playing sports in her free time.

Lewis graduated from Brea Olinda High School. Her academic accomplishments include a perfect attendance certificate from kindergarten through 12th grade and earning Principal's List recognition several years in high school.

In athletics, she guided the basketball team to CIF championships in 2006 and 2009. Lewis also helped the squad capture state and national titles in 2009. She competed in track and field as well, receiving All-League honors as a sprinter and also earning selection MVP for sprints in the Century League.
