Biography
In 2014 Cross Country: Competed in four of the seven Cross Country meets, hitting her top mark with a time of 20:34.7 in the 5K at the Fullerton "Titan Inventational".
In 2014 Track & Field: Competed in four different events during the 2014 season, including the 1,500-, 3,000-, 5,000- and 3,000-meter steeplechase events.
In 2013 Cross Country: Competed in three meets as a sophomore and recorded her top time of the season Sept. 28 at the Cal State San Bernardino Invite with a 24:52.2 mark.
In 2013 Track and Field: As a freshman, she competed in both the 1,500- and 3,000-meter races... Recorded a personal best in the 3,000- meter race with a time of 11:44:43 on April 6 at Cal State Los Angeles…Selected to the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) All-Academic Team for maintaining a grade point average of 3.40 or above through the 2012-13 academic year.
In 2012 Cross Country: Competed in three meets during her freshman season... Posted her top 5,000-meter time of the year on Sept. 15 at the UC Riverside Invite.
High School: A 2012 graduate of Esperanza High School... Competed in three different sports through her four years at Esperanza... Served as the captain of the cross country team during her senior season... Helped the team capture Sunset League championships as a freshman and sophomore... Also guided the squad to a first-place finish at the Nike Pre Nationals in Oregon... Finished within the top 15 percent academically in her class.
Personal: Daughter of Carol and Ben Amiri... Has three siblings: Ladan, Kaylyn and Cameron... Animal Science major... Enjoys going to the beach, surfing and hanging out with friends in her free time... Her favorite movie is The Notebook and favotire food is Mexican food... Favorite pro athlete is Kobe Bryant and favorite pro team is the Los Angeles Lakers and San Diego Padres... Aspires to become a veterinarian.
